Timber/Timberland Purchase
A partnership with Pike Lumber Company offers you many advantages. We own and operate our own sawmill division providing a ready-made market for the sale of your timber. We also provide professional logging crews trained to minimize the adverse impacts of harvesting and heavy machinery. We care for your land as if it were our own. In fact, should you wish to sell your timberland, Pike regularly acquires forestland as part of our "Sustainable Forest Management" program. We strongly believe and practice this approach on all company owned or managed lands.

Forestland Management
Forestland management can be complex. Our goal is to help you improve your forest for the future through a process that is clear and easy to understand as well as providing a pleasant experience.
Our staff of over 20 professional foresters is available to assist you in this process. We start by inspecting your forest to determine our recommendations. We will discuss your needs and goals, help you create an organized plan and oversee any necessary field work.

Timber Harvesting
The most common tool in managing forestland is harvesting timber. A well-planned harvest will create room for the growth of wildlife food plants and their inhabitants while increasing the health and vitality of the forest. Trails will be created to allow greater access for recreational activities including hiking, mushrooming, horseback riding and firewood

removal. Additionally, a managed harvest will increase sunlight for smaller trees, promoting growth and future income potential. Forestland Purchasing
Pike Lumber Company is committed to maintaining high quality forestland through recognized forestry practices and policies aimed at sustaining the entire forest. We have acquired over 100 tracts of forestland that have been sold to us by previous owners to be managed as sustainable forests.
