Quality, Service, & Forest Stewardship for Over 100 years!

Once absent from the Indiana skies, Bald Eagles now inhabit more than 1/3 of the state. The success story has many factors, such as the banning of the harmful pesticide DDT, wetland restoration, a crackdown on poaching, and reintroduction programs. The IDNR started releasing birds back into the wild in 1985 and has had great success. In 2020, there were over 350 nesting territories in Indiana. In 2007, the Bald Eagle was removed from the endangered species list and upgraded to a species of concern.
